Around 3.30pm on Sunday 27 December 2020, a man entered a department store on Great Eastern Highway Midland and collected a shopping basket. He placed a mobile phone in the basket with the camera facing upwards. He walked around the store, approaching a woman browsing and placed the basket in close proximity near the woman’s legs. The woman’s partner approached the male. The male walked out of the store and drove away in a white coloured VW station wagon.

 

Police believe that the male was recording people on the mobile phone without their knowledge.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: Thin build, 35-45 years of age, approximately 180cm tall, brown short hair and beard. He spoke with an accent and was wearing a pink striped shirt and blue shorts.
