Kensington Detectives are investigating a serious assault that occurred after on Grandstand Road Ascot on Saturday 18 November 2017.


Around 5:20pm the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with four men before one of the men punched him to the head which caused him to fall to the ground.  He was then kicked in the chest/stomach area while on the ground.


A passer-by recorded the incident on their mobile phone.


As a result of the assault, the victim received a deep laceration to his head as well as a broken ankle.


Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.


The man is described as 18-25 years of age, short brown hair and medium build.  He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt, dark long pants and black shoes.
