Rockingham Detectives are investigating a robbery incident that occurred on Sunday 4 February 2018 between 8am and 4pm, on a footpath near a shopping centre located at Settlers Avenue, Baldivis.

A 66 year old man who suffers from cerebral palsy was walking on the footpath near Nancy Alley when he was confronted by a male offender.

The male offender attempted to take the man’s wallet. During the incident, he punched the victim which resulted in cuts and bruising to his face.

An unknown member of the public approached and intervened. The male offender then fled the scene.

The victim’s carer was subsequently informed of the incident and police were contacted.

The male offender is described as dark skinned, medium height, with long dark curly hair, a long grey beard and of heavy build.

Rockingham Detectives would like the member of the public who assisted the victim to come forward and make contact with them.
