Wembley Police are seeking assistance with an attempted stealing incident that occurred at a set of apartments on Hampton Street, Burswood on Wednesday 2 May 2018.

At approximately 2:10pm a man and woman entered a laundry area of the units and attempted to force open coin trays of communal washing machines and double stack dryers with a knife like implement.

An amount of damage was caused to several machines, however they were unable to take any coins.  The man and woman left the area empty handed.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as fair skinned, 45-55 years of age with a slim build and long grey hair tied in a ponytail. He was wearing a black ‘Champion’ jumper, green t-shirt under the jumper, black jeans and black shoes.

The woman is described as fair skinned, 20-30 years of age with a slim build and red/blonde hair. She was wearing a black crop top, black tights and black boots. She also had a large black bag over her shoulder.
