On Sunday 3 September 2017, recreational scuba divers located two abandoned firearms on the riverbed of the Swan River in the vicinity of the Blackwall Reach Cliffs in Bicton. Western Australia Water Police were notified and police divers recovered the two pictured firearms.

Police are requesting any information from the public regarding the owner of the firearms or how that came to be abandoned in the river.

The first firearm is described as: BSA Model Martini Cadet Rifle, .22 calibre (sawn-off)

The second firearm is described as: J STEVENS A&T CO Rifle, .22 calibre (sawn-off)
