Around 3pm on Sunday 21 January 2018, a woman placed her handbag on a table on her front porch at her house in Mount Lawley.  She began doing some gardening in the rear yard and forgot about her bag.  Soon after a man knocked on the front door asking for some water before leaving.

It was soon realised that the bag was gone.  The woman checked her banking details and discovered that her bank card had been used on three occasions in a short space of time.

The total of the three fraudulent transactions was almost $200 before the card was cancelled.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as:  Tan skinned, 30-40 years of age and a medium build.  Wearing navy long sleeve shirt, jeans with a black cap and a watch on his left wrist.
