David GATES was convicted of burglary and stealing offences in 2006 and sentenced to 18 months imprisonment after breaking into a home in Calingiri, Western Australia (WA) in 2006 and stealing the homeowner’s vehicle. He was later released on parole and breached his parole conditions in 2009.
Mr GATES was born in Adelaide, South Australia and arrived in Western Australia in 1987. He has links to Alice Springs and New South Wales but is believed to live a largely transient life. He uses many aliases including ‘Raymond Cowey’, ‘Trevor Paterson’, ‘Stuart Pearce’ and ‘David Ryan’.
