At approxiamately 6.05pm on Thursday 8 June 2017, a woman was walking down an alleyway to a rear carpark on Adelaide Terrace, Perth. As the victim came to the end of the alleyway she looked to the left and noticed a man standing near her.

 

The victim started walking faster and the man pulled the jacket he was wearing up over his head, covering his face, then ran towards her and pushed her causing her to lose her balance. The man grabbed the victims handbag and ran off down the alleyway, headed east along Adelaide Terrace and crossed over Hill Street.

 

The victim walked to a nearby shop where she told staff what had happened who then notified police.

 

A short time later, credit cards from inside the handbag were used to fraudulently used to purchase items in the Highgate and South Perth areas.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man involved in the robbery is described as:  Light skinned, approximately 180cm tall wearing an ‘Abercrombe’ branded long sleeve polo top and carrying a navy blue backpack.

 

The male involved in the frauds is described as:  Light skinned, wearing a grey coloured jumper, black beanie and black track pants.
