UPDATE: A 34 year old man from St James has been charged with Robbery and No Authority to Drive.

Around 10.30am on Sunday 11 March 2018 a man parked his vehicle in the car park of a shopping centre on Kent Street in Karawara.

The man got out of his car and began to walk away was a moped with two males parked next to his car and attempted to take the victims GPS that was attached to his bicycle which in turn was attached to the rear of his vehicle.

The man ran towards them to stop them from taking the GPS.

The driver of the moped has driven the moped at the man and knocked him to the ground before riding off. The man sustained a sore shoulder and cuts to his right leg.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The first man is described as:  Dark skinned, 20-30 years of age, short dark hair, medium build wearing a green short sleeved top and dark long pants.

The man riding the moped is described as: Medium build, wearing a dark coloured T-shirt, multi coloured helmet, blue shorts and has a distinctive tattoo on his right calf and right wrist.
