Around 6pm on Wednesday 10 January 2018, a woman accidentally left her mobile phone on a table in a seating area on Belmont Avenue Belmont.  Once the woman realised, she returned to the table she was sitting at and discovered it gone.

A check of CCTV footage from the area showed a man approaching the mobile phone on the table, picking it up and walking away.  Within a short time of the stealing, the ‘findaphone’ app was activated and a signal from the phone was last picked up the Mirrabooka area.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: 40-50 years of age, thin/medium build and clean shaven.  He was wearing a hi-vis yellow and blue long sleeve shirt, blue long pants and brown work boots.
