AT approximately 10.40am on Wednesday 3 May 2017, a man entered a retail store on Great Eastern Highway Midland.

 

The man walked straight to the counter and produced a hand written note which he handed the shop assistant.  On the note was the description of what the man was after from the store, a digital multimeter.  The shop assistant found where the item was and returned to the counter and placed it down in front of the man.

 

The man picked up the item and ran straight out the door towards Cope Street.

 

The multimeter is described as a blue coloured Digitech QM1577 valued at $579.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe can assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as:  Light skinned, 20-25 years of age, medium build and short dark hair.  Wearing a green/brown jacket, long cream pants and dark shoes/boots.
