Around 5.15pm on Wednesday 29 August 2018, a man entered a hardware store on Liege Street Cannington. He browsed the aisles and selected an item of clothing, placing several items inside the clothing in an attempt to conceal them. These items included a tomahawk and a torch.
The man walked out of the store without paying for the items followed by store security. He was approached by security who requested the items back. The man dropped the items to the ground and threw the tomahawk away striking a parked vehicle causing damage.
He was seen getting into a small green vehicle and driving away from the area.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: 20-25 years of age, fair skinned, medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a blue, white and red top, grey track pants, socks and sandals.
