At around 2.20pm on Thursday 26 October 2023, two men rented a digital Cinema Komodo video camera, two batteries and charger for one day, valued at over $10,000 from a camera retail store on Stirling Street in Perth. The following day the rented items were never returned and the camera store were unable to contact either man from the details provided. Inquiries revealed the documents provided by the two men for the rental, belong to a tourist who has since left Australia.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age with black curly hair. He was wearing a matching purple and pink striped shirt and shorts, white socks and sliders.

The second man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 25 to 35 years of age with an unshaven appearance. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black shorts, white sneakers and peaked cap.
