A man has been charged with:  Burglary Robbery and Wounding.


Midland Detectives are continuing their investigation of an aggravated burglary, armed robbery and wounding incident on Sunday 29 April 2018.

Around 3.30am two men gained entry to a property in the vicinity of Charles Street Midland by smashing a rear glass door.

A male occupant of the house was woken by this and went to investigate.  He was seriously assaulted by one of the men with a long handled shovel, whilst the other man stole a number of items from inside the property including a mobile phone and wallet.  The victim was able to chase the men as they left the property however they were last seen running on Charles Street and out of sight.  The victim received lacerations, bruising and swelling as a result of the assault.

A 28 year old man from Rivervale has already been charged with burglary, robbery and wounding offences, however the second male remains unidentified.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as:  Dark skinned, 18-25 years of age, medium build and dark short hair.  He was wearing no top, however used his shirt to cover his face, long pants and runners.
