Posted in Success Stories

After 18 long days, Cleo Smith was found alive and reunited with her parents.

This was the outcome that the Western Australian community was waiting for, 18 long days after Cleo was reported missing.

In the early hours of Wednesday 3rd November, WA Police officers rescued Cleo Smith from a locked house in Carnarvon.

They found a little girl in one of the rooms and one of the officers picked her up into his arms and asked her ‘what’s your name?’

She said – ‘My name is Cleo’.

Cleo was reunited with her parents a short time later.

Deputy Commissioner Col Blanch thanked Cleo’s parents, the Western Australian community, the many volunteers and his colleagues in the Western Australia Police Force whose incredible work led to this wonderful result.

Crime Stoppers WA received thousands of pieces of information from the public which assisted WA Police with their tireless investigation.
