Valuable support from our media partners The West Australian, 6PR and 6iX radio, and the public’s willingness to help has resulted in many criminal investigations being solved.

Valuable support from our media partners The West Australian, 6PR and 6iX radio, and the public’s willingness to help has resulted in many criminal investigations being solved.

Open cases were highlighted in the regular Crime Stoppers feature in Wednesday’s The West Australian, discussed on 6PR and 6iX radio, featured in the Crime Stoppers WA website and posted on the WA Police Facebook page.

Crime Stoppers then received reports from the public identifying those people who appeared in these media channels.

In the last 2 months, thanks to people contacting Crime Stoppers, criminals have been charged with offences including stealing, damage and trespass, fraud, possessing stolen property, burglary and graffiti damage to property.

This successful partnership allows information to be shared and the public to report anything they know about the cases in question.  These important details are then passed to police for further action.
