Persistence and patience pay off

This operation started with a call to Crime Stoppers.

“This operation started with a call to Crime Stoppers” confirmed Detective Senior Sergeant Doug Stjepic.

Raids in Cloverdale and Redcliffe, lead by Cannington detectives, were the culmination of a 12 week drug investigation targeting low to mid level drug dealers in the Cannington district.

Police are in the process of charging 19 people with 370 offences, with one man being charged with more than 230 drug related offences.

“We will allege the primary drug that was being sold and distributed was methamphetamine with heroin and cannabis,” Mr Stjepic said.

“I thank the neighbours and the people that have contacted Crime Stoppers on a daily basis for this resolution.

“(These houses) have a massive impact on the community.

“We will be relentless in targeting drug dealers.

“If you deal drugs in our area, you are going to get hit and you are going to get hit hard.
