Kensington Detectives assure the public that information they provide to Crime Stoppers is looked at and does get results.
Public information gets results
Kensington Detectives were seeking assistance with an incident that occurred at a petrol station in Langford on Sunday 2 July 2017.
In the early hours of the morning, a man and woman walked into the forecourt of the petrol station. The man entered the store and having selected several items from the shelves, he then asked the store clerk to open the doors so the woman could enter. As the doors opened, he and the woman ran towards a vehicle parked next to a petrol pump.
They stopped and demanded money from the victim who was refuelling his car. The man took out a sharp object and threatened the victim, then head-butted and kicked the victim before rummaging through his vehicle and fleeing on foot.
Police released a CCTV image of a man and woman who they believed may be able to assist them with their investigation.
Information from the public resulted in a 20 year old man from Gosnells being charged with Robbery in Circumstances of Aggravation and Stealing. A 19 year old woman from Langford was also charged with Robbery in Circumstances of Aggravation and both are currently before the court.
“Thank you very much for the work that you guys at Crime Stoppers did with this job. Without the help from the public we would not have, as soon as we did, known who these two people were. I would like the public to know that information they provide to us, does get looked at and does assist to get results” said Kensington Detectives.
