Rockingham Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate an assault and stealing incident in Rockingham on Sunday, 7 June 2026.

About 12.20pm, an unknown male entered a sports retail store located inside a shopping centre on Council Avenue. A number of clothing items were selected, and it will be alleged the male left without making any attempt to pay. Two staff members confronted and challenged the male who were subsequently assaulted.

As inquiries continue, officers have released CCTV images of a male who they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

Anyone with information relating to the identity of the male pictured, or the incident — including any CCTV, dash-cam, or mobile phone vision from the area at the time — is urged to contact Crime Stoppers via www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
