Around 7pm on Tuesday 8 October 2019, a woman, aged in her 90’s answered a knock on the front door of her home on Annois Road Bibra Lake. A young woman asked for a glass of water. The elderly woman went into her kitchen, got a fresh glass of water from the tap and returned to the young woman. The glass of water was consumed, the glass was returned and the girl left.

 

When the elderly woman looked around her home, she realised that a wallet containing a debit card had been stolen. The money on the card were her retirement savings.

 

A short time later, the debit card was used fraudulently at a nearby supermarket, number of stores at a shopping precinct in Kardinya as well as a ride in a taxi. The value of the fraudulent transactions amounted to more than $500.

 

Police have released CCTV images of two women who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The first woman is described as: Aged in her 20’s, medium build and dark hair tied up. She was wearing a green sleeveless top and dark long pants.

 

The second woman is described as: Dark skinned, solid build and dark long hair. She was wearing a dark coloured ‘Lonsdale’ top and blue long pants.
