Around 2.30pm on Saturday 1 August 2020, a small group entered a sporting event on Vincent Street Leederville with tickets. A man who was behind that group tried to enter, however he was unable to present a ticket and was refused entry by staff. The man became verbally abusive and repeatedly tried to enter the event despite not having a ticket.
The man grabbed a female staff member by the shirt and pushed her in a forceful manner causing her to lose her balance. A fellow staff member caught her which prevented her from falling to the ground. As a result of the assault, the staff member, a woman in her 40’s, received redness and bruising to her upper chest/neck area as well as injuring her leg.
Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: Light skinned, around 25 years of age, about 175cm tall, medium build, short light brown hair and some facial hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, grey ‘Quicksilver’ top and dark pants.
