Lisa Govan $1,000,000 reward

Police Minister Michelle Roberts announced a $1,000,000 reward for information about the suspected murder of Lisa Govan.

Ms Govan, who was 28 years old at the time of her disappearance, vanished from the vicinity of Kalgoorlie’s Foundry Hotel 18 years ago.

“Police believe there are people in the community who know what happened to Lisa, but for whatever reasons have not spoken up.

“For the sake of the Govan family who have endured the pain of not knowing what happened to Lisa for 18 years, I urge you to come forward” said Minister Roberts.

At the time, the hotel on Boulder Road was adjacent to the clubhouse of the Club Deroes bikie gang.

Police have confirmed Ms Govan was last seen alive near the hotel’s bottle shop about 7.30am on October 8, 1999.

Detectives fear Ms Govan was the victim of foul play, but despite extensive enquiries her body has never been found.
