At around 10:00pm on Sunday 6 December a man was talking on his phone in an alleyway on Hay Street.
He heard foot steps behind him and as he turned he was struck in the face. The impact caused him to fall to the ground. Two men have dragged the man to his feet and threatened him with a sharp object. They have then searched the man and stolen items from him.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: tanned skin, average build, with a short brown mullet hairstyle. He wore a black shirt, khaki pants and black sneakers.
