UPDATE: One man has been charged due to information received at Crime Stoppers. Thanks you! The investigation is continuing.

Around 4.50am on Sunday 14 April 2019, the male victim was seated near the James Street turn around in Northbridge when he was approached by a group of people. One of the men asked for the time, which was provided by the victim.

The man then punched the victim to the face, before the rest of the group assaulted him, causing the victim to fall to the ground. A gold chain was ripped from around his neck while his wallet and mobile phone was taken out of his pockets. The group ran off into a nearby lane-way, followed by the victim who was able to retrieve his wallet and necklace.

Police have released CCTV images of five people who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
