Midland Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate an armed robbery that occurred in Caversham on Saturday, 6 September 2025.

About 10.40am, the male victim was fishing from the banks of the Swan River near the intersection of Caversham Avenue and Maxwell Road when he was approached by two unknown males.

One of the males produced a green and black machete and threatened the victim. The victim slipped and fell on the mud when both males stood over him and demanded property.

The first male is described as having dark skin, approximately 195cm tall and with short black hair. He was wearing a face covering (wind sock or similar), dark clothes, long black pants and grey flexi gloves.

The second male is described as having dark skin and was approximately 170cm tall. He was wearing a motocross style helmet, a black long-sleeved top with high visibility reflective stripes on the back and grey flexi gloves.

Both males were seen leaving the area on electric trail bikes and may have been in possession of fishing rods.
