Regional Investigations unit are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Monday 17 June 2019 at a grocery store along Gayton Road, City Beach.

Around 11pm, a man entered the store and selected an item before walking to the register. He began to pay for the item and when a staff member opened the register, the man stole a sum of cash.

The man was armed with a knife and threatened the staff member before running from the store towards Beercroft Park.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen the man. Any motorists who were in the area around the above time or has dash-cam vision is asked to come forward.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as approximately 172cm tall, with a medium build, and fair skin. He was seen wearing dark denim jeans, a long sleeved hooded jacket and a cap.
