At around 11.10am on Monday 21 March 2022, the victim was placing shopping onto the front passenger seat of his vehicle parked in a car park on Scarborough Beach Road when a man walked past and kicked the car door into the victim. The victim turned around and confronted the man who pulled out a knife from his backpack and made stabbing motions towards the victim before walking off through the car park.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build with brown hair tied up into a small pony tail on top of his head. He was wearing a blue jumper over a white T-shirt, blue pants, brown boots and carrying a black backpack.
