Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate several spot fires at Wireless Hill Park on Friday, 5 December 2025.
About 1.30pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were called to a three small scrub fire in the vicinity of the Hickey Street cottages, located within Wireless Hill Park in Ardross.
DFES extinguished were able to extinguish the fires before they were able to spread.
The cause of these fires is being treated as suspicious, and they may be linked to the damage to several vehicles in the same area. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
