At around 1:45pm on Saturday 27 February 2021 a staff member was assaulted at a retail store on Attfield Street in Maddington.

 

The woman was believed to be stealing items from the store. She observed a staff member see her conceal an item and ran to another area within the store.

 

The store manager approached the woman and requested she remove a piece of clothing from the store that she had put on. The woman removed the shirt and stomped it into the floor.

 

The store manager escorted the woman towards the exit of the store. The woman pushed past the store manager and ran towards the staff member who had first witnessed her concealing items.

 

The woman grabbed the staff member’s hair and struck her to the head multiple times.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The woman is described as: average build, with black hair. She wore a lilac scrunchie, black top, black tights and black and white slides.
