At around 3.20pm on Saturday 7 May 2022, the victim (a 13-year-old boy) riding his bike on Barrack Street in Perth met up with another group of people also riding bikes. When a man unknown to the victim dropped his Vape, the victim trying to be helpful picked up the Vape and through it to the man. When the Vape fell short of the man onto the ground and broke, the man punched the victim to the face numerous times.

The victim was treated at Perth Children’s Hospital for his injuries.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build with long hair. He was wearing a brown cap and riding a blue mountain bike.
