At around 9.50pm on Monday 20 November, the victim sighted an unknown man and woman trespassing in a restricted area on Clotilde Street in East Perth. When asked to leave, a confrontation ensued with the woman. Whilst trying to calm the woman, the man assaulted the victim with a claw hammer causing lacerations to the victim’s heads, back and arms.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: medium build, dark skinned with short dark hair. The man was wearing a beige T-shirt, shorts, dark sneakers and a black backpack.
