At around 10.25am on Friday 14 July 2023, a man sitting inside a shopping centre on Ellen String Boulevard in Innaloo was recognised by a security officer as having stolen from shops in the centre previously. When the security officer approached the man he became aggressive, headbutting and punching the security officer. As the man walked towards the exit he turned and threw a handful of cooked BBQ chicken at the security officer.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 40 to 50 years of age with brown hair and facial hair. He was wearing a black camo hoodie, black trousers and black trainers, carrying a green shopping bag.
