At around 11.55am on Sunday 6 August 2023, the young victim was with her sister and two friends waiting for a bus on Etwell Street in East Victoria Park when a female in company with a male approached the group. The female started swearing and shouting at the group accusing them of staring at her before she picked up a metal pole from the verge and threw it at the group striking the victim’s leg causing bruising.

Police have released CCTV images of a female who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The female is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 18 to 25 years of age with brown shoulder length hair tied back into a pony tail. She was wearing a dark blue jumper, dark coloured pants with socks and thongs.
