At around 6.00pm on Monday 27 September 2021, the victim was walking through a car park behind a licensed premises on Fitzgerald Street in North Perth. When the victim realised a man was walking closely behind him, the victim stopped to let the man walk past. As the man walked past he mumbled something to the victim before striking the victim to the side of his face and walking off.

The man was unknown to the victim.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, medium build, between 20 to 30 years of age with short reddish brown hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt with white print on the front , black pants, dark blue joggers with a shoulder bag on his side.
