At around 1.15pm on Thursday 8 April 2021 a man was in the carpark of a shopping centre on Great Eastern Highway in Midland.

Another male person exchanged words with this man in the carpark. The man grabbed hold of this male and punched him in the face causing him to fall the ground. The man then punched this male victim to the head while the victim was lying on the ground.

The man then left the carpark and entered the shopping centre. The male victim was taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for his injuries.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: fair skinned between 20 to 30 years of age, wearing a black T-shirt with a dark coloured baseball cap.
