Kalgoorlie Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate an assault that occurred in a rideshare zone in Kalgoorlie on Friday, 2 January 2026.
About 8.50pm, the driver of a rideshare vehicle was standing outside his vehicle when an altercation with an unknown male ensued.
The victim attempted to turn away and was punched in the face.
The unknown male left the area along Hannan Street.
As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
Anyone with information relating to the man’s identity, or the incident – including CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam vision – is asked to report to Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
