At around 10.00pm on Friday 16 April 2021, a group of 6 to 7 people entered an arcade on Hay Street in Perth.

While the group was walking through the arcade, a man from the group began to verbally abuse the victim who was mopping the floor. The man then walked up to the victim and grabbed him by the neck with two hands squeezing hard, causing the victim to struggle for breath until other members of the group pulled the man off the victim.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: tanned skin, solid build, between 20 to 30 years of age with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a white jacket over a white T-shirt, dark coloured pants with white shoes.
