At around 1.30am on Saturday 24 July 2021, the victim who was working nearby, attempted to break up a fight between several people outside a store on James Street in Northbridge. A man unrelated to any of the people fighting walked up and punched the victim once to the jaw causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
The victim suffered a number of facial injuries as a result of the assault.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, large build, between 30 to 40 years of age with a styled beard and goatee. He was wearing a black Puma hooded jumper, over a red shirt, grey tracksuit pants with black shoes.
