At around 12.30pm on Monday 5 August, the victim and his colleagues were travelling north on the Joondalup train line in Joondalup. A man approached the group and sat near them initiating conversation. Suddenly he began to throw punches at the group, and attempted to punch the victim in the head. The victim managed to defend himself. The man exited the train when multiple passengers came to the victim’s aid.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, medium build with short light hair, a moustache and a neck tattoo. The man was wearing a dark shirt, beige shorts, black sneakers and was carrying a black backpack.
