At around 10.40pm on Thursday 6 April 2023, the victim exited a train at Murdoch Train Station in Murdoch and noticed a group of males standing on the platform when they started shouting abuse at the victim. One of the males left his group to approach the victim. As the victim started walking up the stairs the male ran up and head butted the victim striking his nose, and causing the victim to fall onto the stairs. The male ran off across the train tracks and nearby freeway.

Police have released CCTV images of a male who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The male is described as: white skinned, slim build, between 18 to 25 years of age with a light brown patchy beard. He was wearing a navy-blue jumper, light blue trousers with a yellow/green baseball cap.
