At around 8.50am on Monday 28 June 2021, the victim when walking up the escalators to exit the train station on Murray Street in Perth, asked a woman standing in the middle of the escalator if she could get past. The woman responded by pulling the victim’s medical mask off her face and stamping on it and then coughing in the victim’s face.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The woman is described as: tanned skin, medium build, between 50 to 60 years of age with dark brown hair tied up at the back of her head. She was wearing a pink fleecy tracksuit with black shoes and carrying a large black shoulder bag.
