At around 9.30am on Saturday 13 April 2024, the victim was working at a checkout till in a supermarket store on North Lake Road in South Lake. When the victim served a woman, she complained about a customer behind her hitting her with a trolley. After the victim said to the woman that the customer probably didn’t do it on purpose, the woman started abusing the victim. A short time later a man approached the victim and punched the victim once to his face because the victim had spoken to his wife.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 35 to 45 years of age with brown curl hair. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper with black shorts.
