At around 8.35pm on Saturday 10 July 2021, a man entered a liquor store on Oxford Street in Leederville after being asked to leave the store earlier that same day due to his erratic behaviour. After entering the store the man started to shout abuse at the store attendant behind the counter before suddenly lunging forward and striking the attendant to the side of his face. The man then picked up a bottle of wine off a shelf and threw it onto the ground causing it to smash before walking out of the store.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: white skinned, slim build with fair hair and an unshaven appearance. He was wearing a grey long sleeved top with camouflage trousers and black joggers.
