At around 2.40pm on Tuesday 7 January 2025, staff followed a man out of a shopping centre on Riseley Street in Booragoon after watching him steal a speaker from the store. He was followed into the car park as staff awaited assistance from security. The man demanded the female staff member to stop following him and hit her in the face. The man left the scene shortly afterwards on a bus.
Police have released CCTV images of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: dark skinned with a slim build. He was wearing a black top, blue jeans, a black hat, sunglasses and was carrying a light blue backpack.
