At around 2.40pm on Saturday 14 August 2021, a security guard confronted a man leaving a shopping centre on Spencer Road in Thornlie about allegedly stealing items from a supermarket. The man became aggressive after a supermarket employee retrieved the alleged stolen items from the man who then attempted to prevent the security officer from entering his office before shoving him forcefully with both hands.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: tanned skin, medium build, with short dark brown hair, full beard and moustache.
