At around 5:40am on Friday 1 January 2021 a teenager was sitting in Yagan Square when he was approached by a group of men.


Some of the men greeted him and shook hands. However, one man appeared agitated and spoke aggressively towards to him. The teenager sat back down. The man then struck the teenager twice in the face.


As a result of the attack the teenager received multiple broken bones in his jaw.


Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.


The man is described as: dark skinned, slim to medium build. He wore a black t-shirt with white logo, black cap, black shorts and black and white slides.
