Around 9.50pm on Monday 8 March 2021 a man was walking along The Crescent in Maddington when he was approached by another man and a woman.

The man asked him for a cigarette but when he refused to give him one the man became aggressive.

He was punched in the face before the man pulled out a knife and demanded he hand over his wallet. After a brief scuffle the man managed to get to his feet and run to safety.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skin, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt, green baseball cap and carried a backpack.
