Perth Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an incident that occurred in Northbridge on Saturday 15 February 2025.

About 8.00pm, the victim was returning to her car on Aberdeen Street when an unknown man approached her from behind, claiming her phone was his.

When she dismissed him and walked to her car, the man followed.  When the victim ran, the man cut her off and tried to snatch her phone, causing her to fall and fracture her hand.

When she entered her car, the man opened her door and tried to steal her phone.

The victim managed to drive off where she later received treatment at the Royal Perth Hospital.

It is believed the man attempted to steal another woman’s phone shortly before this incident.

The man is described as: light skinned, average build with short dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a black top, beige shorts and white sneakers.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released images of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.
