At around 1.10pm on Tuesday 3 January 2023, a man is captured on CCTV enter a restaurant on Great Eastern Highway in Belmont. The man walked up to the front desk and reached over and unsuccessfully attempted to open the cash till. The man then reached into the ‘Tip’ jar containing cash, but was disturbed by a staff member and asked to leave, which he did.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 30 to 40 years of age. He was wearing a blue ‘Sixers’ t-shirt, blue trousers with black runners and a beanie.
