At around 8.30am on Saturday 22 July 2023, the victim was walking along Adelaide Terrace in East Perth when she was approached by a man who asked for directions to the nearest McDonalds. After the victim gave the man directions, he walked away from the victim, reached into his pocket pants and pulled out a small sword with a black handle. The man turned and stared at the victim before concealing the sword under his jumper and walking off.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 30 to 40 years of age with a black scruffy beard and moustache. He was wearing a sleeveless white puffer jacket over a black jacket, black pants, white joggers and a black beanie.
